The Group Project

It was a normal day so far in Tippington's only middle school, until the social studies teacher had an idea. He had decided it would be a good idea to imitate a project the students would work on in groups if two. He also didn't want the hassle of everyone trying to pick their own partners, so he had pre-chosen them. When Angela, Andrew, Lauren, Stephen, and Rani heard about this, they weren't worried about their partners because it was likely the teacher would place them with one of their friends.
What they didn't know was the teacher was planning on placing them with someone whom they didn't like so they'd learn cooperation. Angela was paired with Kirby, Andrew's worst enemy. And Andrew was paired with Gabe, the most annoying partner to exist. None of the friends got paired together and were astonished. Andrew felt particularly angry at the teacher for pairing Angela-his one love-with that crazy kid who had a crush on her! After school, Andrew made a point of pulling Kirby to the side to make some things clear.
"Kirby, Angela is my love and you will never take her away from me. You will not be mean to her, tease her, or push all of the work on her. If you even make Angela so much as frown...you will pay." Andrew said menacingly before heading off to force Gabe to be productive by using a series of bribes, threats, and duct tape.
Meanwhile, Kirby went over to the Tipping's house to work on the project, where it smelled strongly of fried chicken. (Unbeknownst to Kirby and Andrew, but knownst to us, Angela had indulged in fried chicken after learning who her partner was) They worked on the research for the project in silence, not daring to try to eat one of the cookies Mrs. Tipping had made herself (for they were horribly burnt and gad almost made the oven explode...again). They awkwardly assembled the poster and finished the project after adding some details and embellishments.  
Then Kirby did a very stupid thing. He asked a question. "Why don't you like me? Why do you love Andrew?" He blurted out before he could stop himself. Angela's face became shocked, then developed into rage.
"Why don't I like you? I don't like you because your a prevented, selfish,  creepy, stupid, conceited boy who doesn't care for others. I love Andrew because he cares about me and wants to help protect me. He would never intentionally harm me and has even been able to withstand brainwashing to help me! And he tried to be a good friend to me before trying to get my love, doesn't force me into uncomfortable situations unless he has to, and he helps other people. He did't let his rotten father get to him! He stayed strong and is always trying to be a better person! You are just an arrogant, self-centered jerk who couldn't care less about the world!"
Kirby fell into a shocked silence after that, then Angela said icily , "Get out of my house, we finished the project. You have no need to be here." Kirby left the house, running home the moment he was out of sight.
Andrew visited the Tipping's house later, bringing a home cooked dinner with him for them to eat since Timpani blew up the kitchen again trying to boil water. He brought the pasta to the dinning room and noticed Angela was missing. "Where's Angela?" he asked.
Blumire shrugged and Timmani said "she's in her room, why don't you call her down for dinner?"
So Andrew went upstairs to Angela's room and knocked on the door softly. "Angela...I brought pasta."
"Go away, I'm not hungry." Andrew stared at the door, Angela sounded upset, so Andrew knocked again.
"Angela, can I please come in?" She just groaned in response, so Andrew took it as a yes that  he could come in. He saw Angela trying to re-dig her hole of depression (which had been exploded) and a pile of diaries were surrounding her. Her face was tear-stained and she ran into Andrew's embrace. "What's wrong?"
She cried into his shoulder and said "Kirby. He's just so mean, why can't he understand I love you and leave me alone?" Andrew hugged her tighter.
"Some people are just stupid. Besides, what does it matter what he thinks if I love you and you love me? No words can stop love." Angela looked up and smiled at him.
"Yeah..you're right." She hugged him again, tears gone. "Thanks for reminding me, big fishie." Andrew cracked a smile at the nickname, Angela was feeling better. "Now, about that pasta....."

The next day Kirby woke up to find his house tee-peed, doused in water, then covered in sera wrap with all the pies smushed on his face. There also was a notice saying he was banned from the Muffin Mart till he learned some manners, signed by the manager. On the back, there were five words. 'I told you you'd pay...'
